Prerequisite: 13 years of Bronze Star 100% attendance is required for this Bronze Camp. You will start off with the Lifesaving Bronze Medallion learning about lifesaving principles of water rescue education: judgement, knowledge, skill, and fitness. Rescuer’s learn tows and carries, defence and release methods in preparation for challenging rescues involving conscious and unconscious victims. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance for a timed swim of 500 meter in 15 minutes. Once completed you will continue to get your Bronze Cross, which is more challenging in the water proficiency’s (600 meters in 18 minutes), First Aid, Recognition and Rescues. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for registering in other certifications , such as Nation Lifeguard (NL), Swim For Life Instructor (SI-Part 1) and Lifesaving Instructor (LSI-Part 2).
