Bronze Cross - 2 Hour

Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion and Standard First Aid. Participants must complete Bronze Medallion prior to registering in Bronze Cross and show proof of current Standard First Aid. The Lifesaving Society's updated Bronze Cross begins the transition from lifesaving to lifeguarding and prepares candidates for responsibilities as assistant lifeguards. Bronze Cross candidates strengthen and expand their lifesaving skills and begin to apply principles and techniques of active surveillance in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross emphasizes the importance of teamwork and communication in preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for advanced training in the Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certification programs. **Please Note: A manual and additional certification costs will be added at time of registration. 100% attendance is required.
