Lions Park Picnic Shelter Reservation

Starting March 15, 2025 you can reserve the large picnic shelter online for your visit from May 1 to October 13, 2025.

There are 4 slots per day, and you are welcome to book more than 1 slot each day.

• The shelter is suitable for 50-60 people, with seven picnic tables.
• The shelter is situated in the north part of the park (furthest from Sir Winston Churchill Ave).
• Lions Park Picnic Shelter is not a staffed facility; your emailed confirmation is proof of reservation.
• The reservation includes only the large picnic shelter; all other areas (including the playground) are available on a first-come first-served basis.
• Feel free to decorate! Please use painters’ tape and include set-up & take-down in your reserved time.
• Clean up at the end of your reserved time, make sure the space is ready for the next user!
• Propane BBQs are permitted; charcoal BBQs are prohibited. · All Food Vendors must be approved Mobile Cooking Operations with the City of St. Albert. Please note that food trucks must always remain parked in the parking lot.
• Vehicle access is not allowed in the park space.
• One 10x10 canopy/tent can be set up, but must not be staked into the ground, tied to trees or other fixtures, or cause damage to the parkland.
• Power is not available in the large shelter.
• Firewood is stocked on Friday for the weekend, restocked on Monday.
• Anyone making use of the park space is expected to be aware of their responsibilities and accept that their activity will adhere to the Parks Bylaw
