Learn to Skate Level 1 Parented
This PARENTED class, located at Jarome Iginla Arena (66 Hebert Road), is designed for children who have beginner to no skating experience. The focus of this session is balance, posture, sitting down and getting up from the ice, marching/duck walk, marching the width of the ice and initiating backwards walking. CSA approved hockey helmets, skates, snow pants and mitts/gloves are mandatory for children. Full cages are highly recommended for all children. It is mandatory for a parent/guardian to be on the ice at all times, and to wear a CSA approved hockey helmet and skates/crampons.
